Engagement included due diligence, title review, product selection, development review and restrictive covenant negotiation. Ongoing engagement providing development support, analysis and business consulting across the portfolio.

High Value Marital Divorce

Engaged as the client agent for all consulting work for document intensive divorce and division of assets. Worked directly with client and attorneys to analyze the marital assets, formulate strategy and interpret between client and counsel. Assets included 20 entities, 11 apartment communities in 3 states with $120m AUM. Client successfully received 50% of LP interests paid within 1 year of divorce and retained 40% of GP interests allowing the client to retain carried interests, capture all future value at capital gains tax rates and all without having to use a discounted cash flow model. Also successfully obtained award of a Special Master to protect client’s interests and provide fairness and visibility until the last partnership is wound up in +10 years.

Construction Industrial Buildings

Project manage the permitting and construction of 2 industrial buildings totaling 156,000 sf, as the Owner’s representative. The site is in a complex, infill location in Denver, Colorado with overhead electric distribution lines and the requirement to remove and replace existing public infrastructure that includes water and sewer lines to increase capacity for the project and adjacent parcels.
